ECLIPSE BASICS

Eclipse Basic Info

The greatest TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE of our lifetimes will occur April 8, 2024, and we have a great celebration lined up for you to enjoy right here in Perry County, Arkansas. With over FOUR minutes of totality with the sun directly overhead, here in Perry County we have the perfect locations for you and your family to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event. Activities are now being planned that are specifically geared toward families that include vendors, food trucks and lots of fun for everyone.

We are in the middle of the path of totality here in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains.  You'll experience incredible darkness totality of 4 minutes 7 seconds starting at 1:50PM. If you're not here in the path of totality, you'll only experience a partial eclipse. The difference between a total solar eclipse and a partial one is literally the difference between night and day, so bring your family and join us in Perry County for the experience of a lifetime!
